It comes as a shock to learn Enforcement Directorate attaching Rs 177 crores worth assets belonging to Bharathi Cements owned by YS Jaganmohan Reddy. This development happened last evening and with this 6th attachment the worth of all the assets attachment by the ED to date stands at Rs 2,681 crores. And the attachment in connection with the discorporate assets case against the YSR congress President. As a response to this, Bharathi Cemnets moves a house motion and the petition is expected to come up for hearing on December 19th. It is already known that CBI named YS Jaganmohan Reddy as A1 and his auditor Vijay Sai Reddy as A2 in the charge sheet. Jagan served a jail sentence for 16 months for the alleged quid-pro-quo dealing during the YSR regime. Jagan’s camp is maintaining that this is a witch-hunt launched by the UPA and that now claiming strength by the CBN and the centre. Jagan’s recent criticism on special status and also demonetization against the Centre has not gone well with the BJP and it must have started to tighten the noose say political circles.
